Garbage, Recycling and Debris

Household Garbage

The City of Pembroke has a contract with AllGreen Services of Statesboro for residential garbage service. All household garbage must be placed in the containers provided by our Street Department. You will be charged for each garbage receptacle you have at your residence. On collection day, which runs on Friday, please have your garbage container two feet from the curb and away from obstacles. The cart must face the road and be put in position by 6:00AM. The City of Pembroke urges our citizens to remove their garbage receptacles from curbside as soon as possible after pickup. For further questions, please feel free to call City Hall at (912) 653-4413 or AllGreen Services at (877) 490-7336.

Recycling

The City of Pembroke encourages our residents to recycle and reduce the waste in our landfills. If you would like to participate, place your recyclables in a container and set them curbside on Monday morning by 7:00AM. There is no need to separate your recyclables. Click on the link below to view a listing of items that are and are not accepted. Call City Hall at (912) 653-4413 if you have any questions or concerns.

Debris

Yard debris is collected by the City of Pembroke for $100.00 per load. All items must be placed on the curbside, without obstructing traffic. We ask that you put grass clippings, leaves, and pine cones in garbage bags. Limbs must be separated from all other items. If these items are in a garbage can, they will not be collected. Do not mix any dirt, sod, or rocks with yard debris. Household garbage, tires, batteries, or other hazardous waste will not be accepted. To schedule a debris pickup, call City Hall at (912) 653-4413.
