The City of Pembroke’s Recreation Department is located a 91 Lanier Street directly behind the Bryan County Courthouse. Facilities include a swimming pool, skate park, playground, and softball field. In 2012, the city added a sidewalk which surrounds the entire park and serves as a great walking or jogging path.
The swimming pool is open to the public from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It is available to rent for private parties and events. The pool is easily accessible for those with disabilities and includes an ADA approved lift chair. City employed lifeguards are always present when the pool is open. Contact the Recreation Department Director to rent the pool and for hours of operation.
Also located on the property are the J. Dixie Harn Community Center and the Miller Teen Center. The Miller Teen Center is used under the direction of the Recreation Director for special events. For information on renting the Harn Center for private receptions, parties, and events call City Hall at (912) 653-4413.
